Though he loves his wife, Carrie, and would never dream of leaving her, every Thursday, while she thinks he's working late, Jeremy is out cavorting with his wild mistress, Margo, whom he finds the distinct opposite of his wife.  Margo is quite an exhibitionist and goes to great lengths to keep Jeremy thrilled.  Each tryst is always more exciting than the last. Just when Jeremy has done her best, she seems to always find a way to outdo herself.  When Margo discovers Jeremy's fantasy is to have a ménage a trois, she sets it up-only months later, to surprise him.  Jeremy is instructed to meet her at a motel.  When he knocks on the door to the room, Margo opens it, wearing a mask.  She hands him a glass of wine while his eyes adjust to the dimly lit room.  He chugs the wine down when he sees the candles illuminating the other masked woman reclining on the bed.  It is then that the realization hits him.  Margo had put his fantasy into play.  However, he never suspects that it will be the ultimate and she has finally outdone herself.

Coming soon to OMP: DEVIL OR ANGEL, a guy gets a crash course in bondage and a novel, NEVER CHANGE A THING, a heart-warming story with a tissue advisory.

Not your mother's maternity story...

Sarah Williams, a timid librarian, notices a group of young men conversing at a table near her desk. She finds one guy, in particular, quite attractive. When the handsome young man returns alone on several occasions, he waves and smiles. He finally approaches her and asks her out for coffee. Wearing down her objections, they have lunch and then a real date for dinner. Despite her feeling that she’s too old for him and that they shouldn’t get involved, Sarah falls in love with Adam who seems to be just as much interested in her. However, when Sarah overhears a conversation that Adam has with his friends, she discovers the truth and her entire world falls apart.

Sarah has always been a mouse of a woman.  She doesn't attract the handsome men; she lives alone and works as a librarian.  When she is approached by a handsome man who she noticed in the library she is suspicious.  But, the man continues to return to the see her and let her become friendly with him.  He finally asks her for a date and while she is suspicious she is secretly thrilled.  She goes shopping and gets a new haircut which stuns him, and lets her feel better about herself.

Things are going along wonderfully for them until she overhears Adam talking to a friend and her world comes crashing down around her.  Can Adam make things right, or will Sarah revert back to her old ways?

Having His Baby is a wonderful heartfelt romance with a twist.  I loved seeing Sarah blossom into the woman she was meant to be.  I think the author did a good job mixing the super steamy sex with emotions to pull off a wonderful story.  If you like the Ugly Duckling turns into a Swan type stories then Having His Baby is a must read for you.  I look forward to reading more by Candy Caine.

…In the past, I always made it my business to stay away from boys from the hood. However, Hank was doing something to me I could hardly describe.
I wanted to blame everything on the beer, but he had the right moves and equipment to turn any girl’s head. Right now, mine had turned so far it was almost on backwards. Whatever problems I’d had were forgotten. All I could see was that virile, hunk of man. I wanted to run my hands through his hair and trace the outline of the muscles straining against his T-shirt. Those full lips of his reminded me of cherries and I wanted to taste them.
It had gotten crowded and we went in search of a quiet place to talk. Discovering an empty bedroom, we went inside. Boldly out of character, I locked the door bringing a huge grin to Hank’s handsome face.
“You sure, girl? I doan want to get busy if you doan want to.”
I didn’t answer him. Instead, I reached up, took his face between my hands, and lowered his mouth to mine. He tasted like beer and I drank it in. A moment later, he had his arms around me, devouring my neck with kisses. Already wet with desire,
my dam was threatening to give way.
We fell back on the bed. Hank began to explore my body through my clothes. Perhaps he was giving me time to change my mind. There was no way that this girl was going to stop. I needed that boy—needed to get off. And nothing was going to change that fact.
I rolled on top of him and rubbed against his bulging hardness. His eyes closed for a moment of pleasure. I’d wet right through my thin panties and surely wet his jeans as well. He slipped his hands under the sweater I was wearing and opened my bra . His hot hands seared my skin, exciting me further. I slid down his zipper and pushed my panties aside, and repositioned myself on that thick pole of his. Then I rode, as if my life depended on it, towards a climax. At the moment my spasm began, I saw Charles lying there under me. And I fell apart. Tears fell from my eyes as the river between my legs dried. I rolled off of Hank.

Rating: 5 roses

Despite her desires to protect herself from another bad relationship,
Jade Green, a young Afro-American woman, reluctantly lowers her self-imposed shield and gets involved with a married white lawyer. When she sees him with another woman other than his wife, she suspects he’s cheating on her like her ex. Without a word, she leaves to start over in another state. Shortly, she discovers she’s pregnant and decides to raise the child on her own. However, the lawyer finds her and she learns the woman had been a perspective client. Still very much in love with him, Jade moves back into an apartment he sets up for her. There their love endures until fate steps in, once again.

Candy Caine has managed to write a truly heartwarming tale of love, misunderstanding and fate. I truly enjoyed the characters especially Jade. My heart went out to her in such a way that I felt as though I had known her all my life. Her life troubles are real and believable and the tale has me more than satisfied. The love scenes were like air, they were necessary, purposeful and well placed. With that said, they left me breathless at their heat level and genuine appeal. And Preston…Too Cute! Over-all Never Change a Thing is highly recommended by the REC. Five roses.

Love With A Younger Man by Candy Caine
Genre: Contemporary/IR
Length: Wave
Rating: Tropical Storm

Amber, a pretty African American woman runs away from an abusive
father who'd forced her into prostitution and reinvents herself into a
successful real estate agent and has just closed the most lucrative
sale of her career. When her boyfriend, Geoffrey ruins her celebration
dinner in order to take care of business, Amber realizes she will
always take a backseat to his wheeling and dealing. Angry and hurt,
she goes clubbing with the goal of getting laid. She hooks up with
Denton, a handsome guy ten years her junior. Though she's quite
attracted to him as he seems to be with her, she decides to break it
off before the novelty wears off for him and their difference in age
becomes a factor. Denton persuades her to see him again and the two
fall in love. When her father discovers her whereabouts, he threatens
the new life and love she'd worked so hard to create.

Excerpt:

The Slow Dancer, where the drinks were hard and the guys were hot and
fast, was just the place to pick up a guy for a one-night's stand.
Definitely the kind of place I would have gone to years ago before I
became so damn respectable. Geoffrey would never be caught dead in
such a place-even if he could fit in.

I was so angry with Geoffrey that I was finally able to admit what I'd
been lying about to myself for months. He bored me to death,
especially in bed. Sex with him was always by the numbers. He had a
set routine and never, ever deviated from it. I'd been willing to give
up the pulsating excitement of good sex because Geoffrey had been the
culmination of my striving for suitability. After all, he could be the
poster boy for class. But tonight, it no longer seemed worth the
trouble. I needed to be human again and feel my blood pumping.

Perhaps I never truly changed, only camouflaged myself with the
trappings of class. I never stopped fearing that somebody would
discover what I'd been. Underneath all the fancy clothes I wore, I was
still the same person my father abused at night for years until I
finally had enough courage to flee. Then using the skills my father
had taught me, I serviced men until I had enough money to put myself
through school. I graduated and started an entire new life in a place
where nobody knew me.

The climb to the top has not been easy for Amber, starting from an abusive childhood, then moving to prostitution in order to better herself.  Sometimes, the past and its secrets cannot lay buried; their ugly heads always rear at the most inopportune time.  For Amber they came in the form of her abusive father who is blackmailing her with some compromising pictures taken in her younger days.  She has to find the strength to stand up to her father for the sake of her new relationship with Denton who accepted her despite their age difference , and a soaring career in the Real Estate business.  Or will she choose to hightail it out of town and start all over again until her father finds her?

Love With A Younger Man is well planned and written, so much so that I wasn't aware of the length.  I liked the fact that the story showcased a woman who was down and came to the top despite the tragedies encountered along the way.  It was not about a damsel in distress needing to be rescued by her knight, but true friends stepping up to the plate to help.  I did not believe the happy ending though; I can picture them a few months down the line on Dr Phil or TLC trying to hold onto the marriage (I realize these are fictional characters).
